A Word from the President
 My name is Justin Seibert. I used to have an incredible job handling all internet marketing services for a large investment firm in Los Angeles with a focus on online lead generation. It was a fantastic company and I loved everything about it. Heck, their President took me downtown to help me negotiate and buy diamonds for my wife’s wedding ring. The only problem: it is a single location operation in Los Angeles.
Don’t get me wrong – I had a great time in L.A. right after graduating from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. But life and priorities change. By the time my wife became pregnant with our second child, we decided to move away for the sake of our family. I know you can properly raise children in L.A. or even Darfur*, but we wanted to give our children an experience more like what we had growing up. This included moving the children closer to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The Birth of Direct Online Marketing™
So my family moved to Wheeling, West Virginia and I started Direct Online Marketing™. I brought all of the online marketing expertise from a large, fiercely competitive market with me and broadened my horizons to apply this information to businesses of all types and industries. As we've grown, I have brought in a wide array of talented search engine optimizers, paid search marketers, and other Web savvy professionals for the same purpose. Our team carries a wide variety of skill sets, yet our focus remains the same: to grow our clients' business.

Internet Marketing Credentials:
Google has recognized me as an individually Google AdWords Certified Partner, of which our firm is also recognized at the company level. Prior to Google's change in their PPC certification program in April 2010, I held distinction as a Qualified Google Advertising Professional (see old logo to the right) and Direct Online Marketing™ was certified as a Qualified Google Advertising Company.
Yahoo! Search Marketing has also given me certification as a specialist in the paid search marketing (often called pay per click or paid placement) field. Our entire paid search marketing team utilizes these paid search accounts to attain client goals whether looking to increase ecommerce sales, generate leads, create awareness, or collect sign ups for newsletters.
Microsoft adCenter has also accredited me as a Microsoft adExcellence Member for paid search management. Microsoft's bing is currently the third largest provider of paid search listings behind Google and Yahoo!
Due to the extremely fast-moving nature of the online marketing industry and in order to consistently improve paid search marketing campaign performance, it is increasingly important to test campaigns in order to increase results. To that end, I have completed Marketing Experiment's Professional Certification programs in both the Fundamentals of Online Testing and Landing Page Optimization. I have also served multiple years as Judge for the Web Marketing Association's (WMA) Internet Advertising Competition (honoring excellence in online advertising for various forms of Web and email ads) and Web Awards Competition (for Web Site Excellence).
Writing & Speaking
I regularly speak about paid search and search engine optimization at events of various sizes, from association meetings to conferences. Venues and publications where I have written, spoken, or been featured or quoted include:
Conferences
- American Truck Dealers Convention. I presened earch engine marketing techniques for truck dealers in two separate workshops at the April 2010 convention in Orlando. Included in this presentation focused on how the trucking industry can increase sales of trucks and truck parts will be a special emphasis on local SEO.
- SEM II: Join the Revolution. At this Erie, PA event covering search engine optimization and paid search, I presented Get Found Fast! Paid Search Marketing from A to Q and fielded questions from an audience heavily weighted with industrial companies. This audience rated my presentation a 4.71 (1 to 5 scale) and gave me a 4.79 on knowledge of paid search subject matter.
- Online Marketing: Innovations that Work. I spoke about search engine reputation management in Southpointe (Pittsburgh), PA in a presentation entitled They Said What? Protect Your Reputation with Search Engine Marketing. This event featured speakers from other companies like eBay, Microsoft, and WebTrends.
- Next Generation Marketing: Achieving growth, loyalty and return on marketing investment. I participated in a number of sessions throughout West Virginia during the Spring of 2008. The main presentation on Engagement and Dialogue discussed the importance of joining the conversation and recognizing that businesses cannot control it.
- Create WV conference. I discussed online reputation management at Snowshore Mountain Resort in October 2008.
- Teaming to Win. I co-presented a workshop entitled Selling on the Net – Taking Your Business Worldwide at this premiere West Virginia conference devoted to advocating and advancing teaming among businesses and organizations to win contracts, provide services, or develop products.
- West Virginia Young Leadership Conference. Partnering with a colleague, we presented a discussion on advanced techniques - and potential pitfalls - of social media, including networks like LinkedIn, twitter, and facebook.
Publications
Lectures / Group Presentations
- Greater Frederick (MD) Advertising Federation. I presented Get Found in Google: Should Search be a Part of Your Marketing Mix? at this GFAF conference in Frederick, MD entitled Campaign: Digital - Using email, social media, pay-per-click advertising, and search optimization to target your customers online.
- Private Truck Leasing Network. This online marketing presentation at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles was tailored to the Nationalease members in attendance based on the types of subjects in which they have the most interest with heavy focus on local SEO.
- Bethany College (WV).
- West Vriginia Environmental Education Association. I presented a general overview of social media - including twitter, blogging, and social networking - to the WVEEA. The title of this interactive presentation was Making Social Media Work for You in Environmental Education.
- AITP, Pittsburgh, Wheeling (WV), and Johnstown (PA) Chapters. Various regional Association of Information Technology Professionals chapters have invited me to present a range of topics including social media and search engine optimization.
- WVConnectivity. I presented two seminars for this series: Search Engine Marketing and The Do’s and Don’ts of Business Blogging.

Professional, Regional, & Civic Associations
I belong to a pair of marketing and advertising groups here regionally: the ittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association and the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation.
A cofounder and former President, I still serve on the board of the upper Ohio Valley's young professional organization, OVConnect. Our members come from Southeastern Ohio through the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia to Southwestern Pennsylvania. Other young professional groups I belong to include the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP), Generation WV, and Pittsburgh Young Professionals (PYP).
I am proud to be an active member of the creative communities team (Create WV) of A Vision Shared, an organization dedicated to improving West Virginia's economic climate through retaining and attracting a diverse array of talent to the state. The annual Create WV conference will be held in Wheeling in Fall 2010. I also serve as a board member of the West Virginia Northern Community College Foundation and for Wheeling Health Right.
