Okay, that sounds less impressive when both cities are listed. Due to some complications with things that I guess you need like carpet, we’re getting a late start to our move. Therefore, we’re having Moving Week instead of Moving Day, much like my friend Jamie has her birthmonth every year. The only down side is that we don’t get to sing Moving Day to the tune of the Backyardigans’ Racing Day:
It’s Moving Day, it’s Moving Day
It’s Moving Day, it’s Moving Day-eyay
It’s not Pony Hooving Day
Today’s the day we move
Anyway, all our phone lines are getting switched. We’re told there won’t be any interruption, but just in case, please make sure you use our 800.979.3177 line today if you need anything. That definitely will work and we can transfer you to whomever you need.
First and foremost, Happy Easter and Chag Sameach to all. I still don’t know what to say on Good Friday, so I’m avoiding it altogether and just wishing good holidays to all for Easter and Passover. And oh yeah – we’re open today if you need anything.
For those of you not aware, I’ve been teaching internet marketing at West Liberty University, a local West Virginia university about 15 minutes north of Wheeling. That’s the class where we did the Google Online Marketing Challenge, their group project. Well they have one other project – each had to create, post to, and maintain a blog, using WordPress (the .com – not all students in class have a Web development background).
Honestly – and I shouldn’t say that because doesn’t that imply I’m not always honest? – I’ve been really impressed by a lot of the students. Many have really taken to this and done some great things. So, if you believe in education and the importance of understanding things like blogging and online reputation management by younger generations entering the workforce, please take the time to visit one or more of these blogs and leave encouraging feedback. List after the jump.
Rarely do I literally stop everything I’m doing to read an article. Or post a comment. Or write a blog. I hit the trifecta today.
Just when I thought I had said all I could say about the WVU eMBA scandal from an online reputation management perspective, I was sent a link to this article:
Rarely do I talk about our clients and their campaigns in this space. That silence is purposeful for a lot of reasons, chief of which is that often I’m not allowed to speak about their campaigns. Not so today. We launched a new site job recruiting site for the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia and Upper Ohio Valley Tuesday and there are 2 powerful points you can take away from this post, which you can use to improve your marketing today.
Fans of the old Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon will remember when they told you to tune in next week. They would always end “Don’t miss tomorrow’s exciting episode…[Bullwinkle's Ride or Goodbye, Dollink].” Always two titles. The alternative title for this post would be “Growing Young Professional Class in WV…Now How do We Let Folks Know about It?”
