Cold. Hard. Numbers.

The only time anybody ever took any notice of something big and green, it was generally rather angry and unable to split its underpants. And that’s how you’d generally feel when using the Google AdWords keyword suggestion tool.

While the majority of you may not care about the minutiae of the everyday grind of a Search Marketer’s lot, it’s always been a bit staggering (to us) that Google represents things such as search volume via the medium of a green bar. A full green bar simply meant “a lot” - who were we to argue with the big G over a few million clicks.

Anyway, caps are doffed towards Jonathan over at ProspectMX who originally brought this to our attention.

  1. This change really makes prospecting keywords A LOT easier, and pretty much renders other keyword services useless, don’t you agree?

  2. Since we operate at the mercy of "big G", it’s always nice to see them add info.  We added Google Checkout as a payment option, and were told the "badge" would show up after one sale.  Just had our first through it, now they say after "several".   but don’t count that as a complaint - there are 10 people on my site right now and 7 came from Google.
