Happy Birthday Seibert

Tom Selleck Birthday Cake
Yes, it’s Tom Selleck in his birthday suit…

It would be awfully remiss of me not to wish our illustrious leader a very Happy Birthday seeming he spent half an hour dropping hints on Twitter about it last night and my facebook profile has had his name with a gift box next to it for a couple of weeks now – but gifts are so 1980s, unless you’re the one receiving them.

Have a good one.

  1. I’m changing the phrase to “Lies, damned lies, and Paul Woodhouse.”  I’ve never mentioned any such thing on twitter and rarely log into facebook these days except to respond to messages and friend requests.  All updates are done through twitter, much to the dismay of the 90% of my facebook connections  that could care less about search marketing updates and retweets.

The worst part about social media is the birthday reminders – I like seeing them for other folks, but don’t want mine out there.  Surely there’s a way to turn that off, but darned if I know it.  Think I’ll just close my accounts instead.  Come to think of it, maybe we’ll just stop offering social media services all together.  According to what I read in certain newspapers, the internet’s the cause for all our societal woes anyway.  Viva la Print!

  3. Don’t make me link to that conversation you and SEOdog were having last night. ;-)

The easiest way to turn off birthday reminders on Facebook is to simply change your birthday in your profile settings to year or month and year. Just omit the day.

Well I think you can do that.

    Did you get anything nice?

Anyway, better go, PPCparrot has just flown into the door half sparking himself out whilst obviously trying to get in and wish you a happy birthday.
