Thanks for coming to my defense Colleen (did my wife hire you?).

Let us know when the Pennsylvania Search Engine Academy opens up - our Pittsburgh and Washington, PA readers may have an interest.

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about Eric's father. That is a tough situation.

In Justin's defense, how were you to know?

I am an associate of the Search Engine Academy working in Oregon. I also went through the training program myself and got hooked! That is why I am now a trainer for the Search Engine Academy (SEA).

What I like about the training offered by SEA is that it is hands-on. This is what my students like too. The more they get to try out the tools and techniques the happier they are.

We test each section of material to make sure it works before we teach others. We also offer certification, but as you point out, it is not standardized, it is certification throught the Academy. We also offer CEUs through the University of Mississippi which is in Robin's home state the founder of SEA.

With regard to student and military discounts, right now they are on a case by case basis, but it sure makes sense to roll out a discount for students and the military. I will give that further thought, as each academy sets their pricing based on the community in which they teach.

There are Academies in California, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan and internationally there is one in Malaysia and two in Canada! New Acaemies will soon be opening in New York. Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Thank you for sharing the training opportunities available. I just wanted to elaborate on the training I know best, the Search Engine Academy.

Hi Justin, Eric Ward here. I do in fact want to do business with you. Sadly, my father recently had a stroke that pretty much left him unable to care for himself, and my brother and I are handling the situation as best we can. The collateral damage is that I have had to leave several client's wondering just where the heck I've gone. Trips back and forth to Phoenix as well as taking care of our own young kids is part of our lives now, and I'm struggling to find solutions. I apologize for the personal reply here on your blog, but I felt I need to explain to both you and your readers just what we are up against. I will be taking new clients again in about three weeks. Also, feel free to call me on my private cell phone, which I will email you the number of privately in a moment.

Again, I thank you for your patience and look forward to making you happy.
