Most businesses already understand how LinkedIn can be a great resource for hiring and finding work.  But, LinkedIn offers several different great ways to market your organization as well.  They just don’t always do a great job of promoting what they have to offer or making the benefits readily apparent.

  3. LinkedIn AdsLinkedIn Direct Ads.  LinkedIn allows you to place ads on a cost per click or cost per 1,000 impression basis with no minimum budget through its Direct Ads program.  Scale can be a limitation for larger advertisers, but targeting options are phenomenal: reach persons by geographic location (although you can’t fine tune to smaller locations as well as you can with facebook or Google AdWords) based on their titles, experience levels, specific company, company type, company size, or more.  Cost: you set the budget for as little as you’d like.
  4. LinkedIn Marketing Solutions.  LinkedIn also offers more ad types and sophisticated advertising solutions for large brand advertisers.  These include their Social Ad suite (Follow Company Ads, Recommendation Ads, Join Group Ad),  larger display ad units than what are offered with Direct Ads, annoying highly noticed Homepage Takeovers, and a variety of Content Ads and Sponsorships (including Polls and Apps).  Cost: $25,000 per month minimum.
