We reverse-engineer your funnel. Start at revenue, work backwards through the sales pipeline, then match each step to a platform, campaign type, or conversion point. That gives us a straight line from dollars in to dollars out. We also look at close rates, margin, lifetime value, and buying cycle to figure out whether media spend supports real growth or just noise.

Before we even begin partnering together, we start by auditing your account(s). It’s an in-depth audit, too – we look at structure, conversion tracking, audiences, match types, bid strategies, naming conventions & historical performance. Then we sit down with your team to share our findings and understand business goals, budget guardrails & internal expectations. Once we agree on our scope of working together, we assign your team, have an internal alignment call to discuss findings and notes from the sales process, send you alignment questions and access needs, and have our kick-off. From there, we move into our launch phase, creating a transition plan: what stays, what gets rebuilt, what needs testing. We’re not trying to blow things up unless we have to – as we don’t want you to take hits to your business. That usually means performing triage on your existing account to cut out wasted spend as we build new campaigns, ad groups, etc. that we want to layer in over time to avoid business disruption.

Short-term wins help with buy-in. Long-term structure helps with staying power. We plan for both. That means building campaigns that can scale. We test fast, but we don’t throw the algorithm into chaos with constant changes. We budget for learning phases. We leave room for brand lift. And we talk with you about pacing: what has to work now, what will work better in six weeks, what’s worth testing over six months. Long-term performance comes from strategy with teeth.

While it depends on the client, in almost all cases we’re working with your in-house team and prefer to do so. The most effective relationships are true partnerships where we act as an extension of your internal marketing team. How much of the work we do varies depending on need and the scope of the engagement. For example, sometimes we leverage internal design teams while in others we provide all creative services. We look at match first. Platform, audience, offer, and budget all have to line up. We also review channel saturation, cost trends & creative requirements. If a platform needs five new videos per week, and your team’s already underwater, we won’t throw you in the deep end. We’d rather focus spend where it earns attention.

Most businesses running ads at scale work with agencies. That’s not a coincidence. Platforms move fast, rules change, and algorithms don’t hand out second chances. A good agency brings process, real experience, and dozens of tests already run in accounts like yours. You get to skip the learning curve and start with what’s proven. It also means you’re not trying to run paid ads on top of everything else you’re already responsible for. Running ads won’t make AI mention you directly but it can drive traffic to the kind of content that does. Ads can support visibility across branded search, push pages that feed AI citations, and reinforce your name as the answer in your niche. It’s part of a larger strategy we call Generative Engine Optimization. Paid ads can amplify the content signals that LLMs learn from. In terms of ads directly in AI searches, we’re still in the very early stages. OpenAI has a closed beta for a small group of advertisers with a minimum buy-in of $200,000 USD. This will change, just as other platforms (we’re looking at you, Google Gemini) begin offering ads in their platforms.

We do our best work with companies that treat marketing as a growth engine. That usually means demand-gen–driven B2B firms, multi-location service businesses & multi-product ecommerce brands. Most are in that $20–$50MM+ range, with a sales team that’s ready for more volume or better quality. We’ve worked with everything from private equity–backed manufacturers to niche consumer brands. If you sell something with a real sales process behind it, and you’re serious about scaling, we’re probably a good fit.

We plan for the long haul. That means sequencing content, creative & targeting based on where someone is in the buying journey and how long that journey usually takes. And we don’t over-optimize for cheap leads that never close. Long sales cycles need more patience & better tracking, not just more budget.

First, we audit what’s working, what’s stale, & what was never built right in the first place. Then we look at pacing, learning phases, and any past tests worth revisiting. Big-spend accounts come with scar tissue and we expect that. Our goal is to fix the broken stuff without trashing the whole structure. We pull the levers that matter, hold off on the ones that don’t, and start making the account serve the business. What we don’t do – unless absolutely necessary – is kill off existing accounts and that historical credibility with the platform.

Management & Optimization

We’re in the accounts every day. Some days it means monitoring, waiting, and letting the algorithm do its job. But bid strategies, budgets, search terms, audience performance, placements, and conversions all get reviewed constantly. How often we make these types of adjustments depends on the particular scope, but it’s usually weekly if not daily. Bigger shifts roll out once there’s enough data to back the decision. Setting and forgetting will never work in ads.

We never gamble with your best-performing campaigns. And we only roll out what wins. Whether it’s new creative, a fresh landing page, or a bid strategy change, we protect the core while we explore the edges.

We track efficiency like its revenue. That means monitoring cost per lead, cost per sale, ROAS, & conversion paths down to the keyword or audience level. We pause what’s bloated, double down on what’s lean, and rebuild what’s hit a wall.

How often we update ads and other forms of creative really depends on the campaign brief and goals of our efforts. For many clients, we switch it up every 2 to 4 weeks. That keeps things fresh enough for performance but not so fast that data can’t tell a story. That said, frequency depends on budget, audience size, offer strength & campaign goals. Bigger accounts with faster pacing burn through creative quicker. Smaller retargeting pools don’t need frequent changes. We test, rotate, replace & repeat based on what the numbers say, not what the calendar says.

Transparency & Reporting

Simply put, by what matters most to you. For the majority of our clients that is either through qualified leads and / or sales. More specifically, we track every click, view, call, form submission, purchase, and site interaction that connects to your business goals. That includes phone calls, CRM-qualified leads, booked demos, revenue – not just traffic or impressions. From there, we monitor which actions matter most and which parts of the funnel cause friction. Campaigns are adjusted based on hard numbers. Daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly views offer insights of different lengths to make sure nothing goes stale – and avoid tiny leaks that can turn into big inefficiencies. If a KPI matters to your business, we build reporting around it and optimize toward it.

Full marketing ROI connects the dots between ad spend, sales pipeline, and actual closed revenue. For some clients, that means integrating with CRM platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce. Budget, Fees & Risk

No. We work with a variety of budgets. However, there are certain budgets required to meet performance goals and we will give you recommendations of minimums and maximums. To provide some baseline, the minimum account-wide budget we recommend for Google Ads is $5,000 / month, although may be much higher in practice depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.

We never charge a percentage of ad spend. That structure has 2 disadvantages for you. 1. Someone always gets hurt in that equation – if you have a huge budget, the agency gets fat off your back and doesn’t earn their keep. If you have a really small budget, it’s difficult for the agency to do all the work needed to be successful and still pay their people appropriately. 2. The bigger disadvantage is that it misaligns incentives. When an agency earns more when you spend more, then they will always have a motivation to get you to spend more. We don’t want our people to ever make a recommendation to you unless they 100% believe it’s in your best interest. Instead, we offer predictable management pricing – either a flat monthly rate or one that may fluctuate based on seasonal workloads. Either way you get the consistency of knowing what you’ll pay each month.

We don’t raise budgets unless you sign off on them. When we make recommendations for increased budget, we’ll share our reasoning and what we hope to accomplish.

In terms of the relationship, you are never locked in to working with us. You’ll get a month-to-month relationship and can leave any time for any reason. All we ask is for 30-day notice before the beginning of the following month. Before we get to that stage though, it will have meant that we have gone through many rounds of strategic experiments in addition to ongoing testing of every campaign element we can, and bringing in additional team members to share their perspectives and brainstorm ideas. We aren’t satisfied unless we’re driving the results that move your business forward.
