PRSA Taps Direct Online Marketing to Launch Digital Communication Certificate Program

The new program aims to enhance the skills of professionals communicating with online audiences.

Pittsburgh, Pa., May 16, 2019 – Direct Online Marketing, a leading digital agency and Premier Google Partner, proudly announces their involvement with the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) new digital communication certificate program. The program focuses on the current landscape for digital communicators working within branding, social media, and content strategy.

Direct Online Marketing’s President, Justin Seibert, will serve as the program moderator as well as one of its presenters. Communications and marketing experts from Business Wire, Figure Eight, IBM, Saga MKTG, and Wax Marketing will join Seibert to present best practices and real-world case studies for each module’s given topic.

The Digital Communication Certificate Program will equip management-level communicators with best practices regarding digital content strategy, personas, digital storytelling, writing for SEO and the web, digital innovation, and the measurement of digital communication. Upon completion, registrants will be able to leverage a variety of digital tools to better communicate with online audiences.

“As the digital landscape continues to evolve, communications professionals have a duty to continuously update their skill set if they want to connect with their audiences,” said Seibert. “A willingness to adapt can be the difference between winning over your audience or losing their attention. Right now, the most important thing is the ability to speak directly to online audiences at precise moments.”

The program consists of six modules and will run between May 22, 2019, and June 26, 2019. Each module will be available as a live, online broadcast from 3—4:30 p.m. EDT. These sessions can also be viewed as on-demand videos shortly after airing.

Registrants who pass the 18-question, multiple-choice test at the end of the series will receive a certificate of completion. Additionally, member participants will have access to PRSA’s Online Digital Communication Community, an exclusive online forum offering private access and interactive dialogue with other members taking the course.
